Ramsay grew up with a passion for singing ballads and spent her teen years scouring the "international" sections of record stores (vinyl) for traditional Scottish music. The songs she likes best are mostly Traveller's songs, sung in the old style (sean nos) without accompaniment, but this album features many fine supporting musicians.
